Sizing and fabric

Read the chart, not the label letter

Indian ready-to-wear sizing is not consistent between makers. The size chart on each product page is the one that applies to that piece.

  1. Measure a garment you already own. Lay it flat and measure chest and length; compare with the chart rather than with an S/M/L letter.
  2. Cotton shrinks; blends mostly do not. Where a piece is listed as cotton, allow for a first wash. We state the fabric exactly as supplied.
  3. Kurta length is measured from the shoulder. A knee-length figure on one maker can be mid-calf on another; the centimetre figure settles it.
  4. Colour on screen is not a colour guarantee. Dye lots vary. Where two pieces must match, order them together.
